Hurricane Gustav
September 01, 2008Hello,
My name is Robert and I'm arcanesanctuary on Bonanzle. Jose (circuitpartyjewelers) and I are in the process of having a fundraiser for Hurricane Gustav damage control. We all remember what happened when Hurricane Katrina hi NOLA and destroyed everything in site. From what I can see doing internet searches, there are still over 100,000 people living in FEMA trailers.
I know not everyone can give right now as the economy is slow but for those who can, please sign up on the thread I created to donate some of your sales till Sept. 7th. For those who can't, it would be really terrific if you could spread the word about this.
Thank you very much for your generosity.
Robert and Jose

It's not only the FEMA trailers, there are numerous travels back & forth, wear & tear on the families, pets left behind, and stress on medications and living conditions-just getting a clean pair of pants after a week for some. Power outages that create less workable conditions. What affects or remnants of these storms snowball on the path it takes over days.
Arkansas is reeling from the deluge of water, which turned into flooding, or the ground turned so soft that when the winds came, trees come out by their roots. I am talking large trees creating large problems and more power outages.
I am doing what I can for my neighbors. Generators are scarce, my power came back after 20 hours but there are many here that will have none for a few days. Freezers and fridges are full of spoiling food. I could go on but suffice to say any help would be appreciated. I commend you Robert & Jose.
Working through our neighborhood and Louisiana Refuges here.
